This panel will offer a robust and interactive discussion of the ways library services should intersect with various tools and programs. When these intersections are successful, it is easier for libraries to assess their impact and improve services. Specifically, the panel will explore how the limitations of interoperability affect different library services, and how vendor provided or locally created tools, especially APIs, support these efforts. The group will examine this topic from technical, contractual, and industry perspectives in order to better understand and solve interoperability challenges. By doing so, libraries and their vendor partners will provide better systems interoperability and workflows for library staff and users.
