NISO's ODI was published in 2014 and has succeeded in increasing transparency and improved communications in the realm of indexed search. More recent developments in the library discovery and publishing ecosystem and technology landscape have prompted the ODI Standing Committee to undertake new focused investigation, updates, and expansion of the recommended practice.
