Have you ever had to sacrifice the right ebook access because the price wasn’t right?  The struggle is real; balancing access and title costs is an ongoing issue for libraries worldwide.  In this session, we’ll start with a discussion about ebook acquisition trends and how purchase decisions are being influenced by price.  Then, we’ll hear from Keri Prelitz (Collection Development and Management Librarian from California State University – Fullerton) and how she is using Extended Access to strike the right balance between access and price.  Finally, we’ll end with market data around turnaways and the various innovative methods, both current and upcoming, from ProQuest that help make ebook access affordable for all budgets.
