Scholarly monographs are undergoing a digital transformation that brings new value to both libraries and researchers. We’ll explore usage data that yields insights on the impact of digital discovery, changing research and teaching practices, print vs. digital preferences, and the effects of usage-based acquisition models such as DDA and EBA.

S55-02: Showdown at COUNTER 5 Corral: Comparing Ebook Usage Across Matching JSTOR and Project MUSE Pools
JSTOR and Project MUSE offer partially overlapping corpora of ebooks from academic publishers. The University of California consortium JSTOR DDA project brings a special opportunity to examine campus-by-campus usage of pool titles that run concurrently with one member's purchased collections of many matching Project MUSE books. Does the vaunted JSTOR discovery advantage still obtain?
